Maria De Padua Silva, MS, LMHC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

I am Maria De Padua Silva, a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 30 years of experience providing counseling in the Christian community.

I work with people in both English and Portuguese, providing therapy aimed at healing trauma and restoring hope. I specialize in working with individuals, couples and parents navigating unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship stress.

Empathy and Evidence-Based Care

I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and TBRI® Practitioner; combining evidence-based methods with compassionate and client-centered care.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-informed principles. I also offer faith-based support for those who want to incorporate Christian faith into the healing process.

I am passionate about walking alongside people on their journey toward wholeness, offering both clinical expertise and the compassionate presence of faith.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief:

healing is possible.

Faith-Based Therapy

For many, faith is not just a belief system. It is a source of strength, comfort, and identity. Faith-based therapy creates a safe space where you can integrate your spiritual values into the healing process.

In our sessions, we combine evidence-based counseling approaches with biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual reflection (when desired). This allows you to process trauma, anxiety, grief, and life challenges while remaining rooted in your relationship with God.

Faith-based therapy honors the whole person; mind, body, and spirit, and helps you reconnect with hope, meaning, and God’s presence in your healing journey.

You don’t have to leave faith behind to care for your mental health. Bring both on your journey, step by step, toward emotional wellness.
